What We Offer...
1. Different Recording options
Music recording – OPTION 1
R800 initial cost per song
– Backing tracks are provided to you free of charge! We have more than twenty one thousand high quality backing tracks to choose from but if you choose, you may use your own high quality backing tracks.
With this option, you pay R500 for the first recording session, after which Globelite will then do the cleaning, modifications, mixing and mastering of your song, at a further R180 per hour. For this option we have placed a cost ceiling of only R1800 per song!
Music recording – OPTION 2
R1800.00 initial cost per song
– You play all the instruments yourself and do all the singing. After the initial recording is done, Globelite will clean, modify, mix and master your song.
With this option, you pay R1000 for the first recording session, after which Globelite will clean, modify, mix and master your song, at a further R180 per hour. For this option there is a cost ceiling of R2000 per song.
Music recording – OPTION 3
R2500.00 initial cost per song
With this option, Globelite will supply in-house musicians for recording of the instruments. After recording is done we will arrange a session to record your vocals. With this option you pay an initial cost of R2000 per song which will cover the recording of the whole song, including your vocals.
All additional work such as cleaning, mixing, mastering etc. is charged at a further R180 per hour. External session musicians (if required) are paid R400 per recording session – only if required by you. For this option we have a cost ceiling of R3000 per song, excluding the cost of external session musicians (if required).
NON-MUSIC recording – OPTION 4
For all non-music recordings such as voice overs, Sound effects for plays etc, we have a standard rate.
R180 per hour for studio time spent on your recording
2. Cleanup, Mixing and Mastering
Cleanup and re-master of AI generated songs
We can clean, edit and re-master your AI-generated songs (IE: SUNO) to improve the sound quality. We will need your song’s individual tracks as they were split on the AI platform you used to create the song. Cost is R450 per song.
Cleanup, Mixing and master of your recorded songs
If you send us your high quality song recording we will do a professional cleanup and mixing of your song and then professionally master the song. We require that you send us your song in a universal format that is loadable on any high end recording platform (IE: Pro Tools) so that the tracks can be individually accessed, and edited. Cost is R650 per song
3. Other popular services provided
Guitar lessons
Contact Pieter to book individual guitar lessons. Lessons are given to Beginners and intermediate players in Upington at R250 per one hour lesson. When four or more lessons are booked, you will also receive a song book containing 20 songs with chords.
We also give guitar lessons to groups of students in a class setup of up to 5 students per class. This is a popular option with schools! The cost per one hour lesson is R100 per student.
*** Prerequisites ***
All students must have their own guitar for lessons as well as practicing at home. All lesson payments have to be done upfront.
Guitar setup and minor repairs:
R800 for a complete guitar setup that does not include major work such as fret dressing etc. A setup consists of the following:
- General Check : Check guitar for visible signs of damage
- Electronics : Check the jack input. Check wiring. Check pods for scratchyness.
- Fret board : Check & correct string clearance at the nut. Check frets for fret-buzz. Check & correct neck curvature. Check & correct bridge height / radius. Check & correct intonation.
Conclusion :
- We’ll install a new set of strings if requested by the client, clean / service components as required.
- Make necessary adjustments based on checks done.
- Some work such as fret dressing require much more intensive, specialized work to be done. We therefore provide clients with a full report regarding additional work required to fix complex issues not addressed as part of a normal setup.
Backing tracks
We have a large selection of great sounding backing tracks available to you at only R50 per song
